Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both acute and long-term care settings, demonstrating a strong understanding of dietetics and nutrition principles. As a Dietitian, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing individualized care plans that promote optimal health outcomes for patients. Your expertise in physiology and diagnostic evaluation will be essential in assessing dietary needs and recommending appropriate interventions.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients in various care settings, including hospitals and long-term care facilities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor personalized care plans tailored to meet the specific dietary needs of patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care and support overall treatment goals.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding nutrition, weight loss strategies, and dietary modifications.
  • Supervise dietary staff to ensure compliance with established protocols and quality standards.
  • Stay updated on current trends in nutrition science and best practices in dietetics to enhance patient care.
  • Perform regular evaluations of patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on diagnostic evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is required.
  • Experience in acute care and long-term care settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology as it relates to nutrition and health outcomes.
  • Proficient in developing effective weight loss programs tailored to individual needs.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare teams.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations related to dietary needs and interventions.
