Overview:
We are currently seeking a diligent and effective Maintenance Dispatcher to enhance our landscaping operations team. This Crucial role involves managing communications, coordinating field crew activities, and ensuring operational efficiency daily. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong bilingual communication skills and have a background in trade, such as plumbing or fleet management, to effectively oversee and support our field operations.
Responsibilities:
- Communication and Coordination:
- Effectively communicate job order changes, new customer requests, and job schedules to field crews using radio and other communication tools.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all fields of communication, ensuring clarity and timely dissemination of information.
- Coordinate with management and field staff to optimize schedules and resources.
- Job Scheduling and Dispatching:
- Schedule and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
- Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from work crews, supervisors, and field inspectors.
- Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of operations, including job orders, crew locations, and job completion statuses.
- Prepare daily dispatch logs and provide reports to management on activities and issues.
- Problem Solving:
- Respond to emergency calls or issues from the field crews, assisting in troubleshooting and resolving conflicts or delays.
- Modify schedules and job plans as needed to meet unforeseen circumstances.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in business administration, logistics, or relevant fields is a plus.
- Proven experience in trades, such as plumbing, fleet maintenance, or related field.
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic situations.
- Proficient with dispatch software and radio communication equipment.
