Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Wage: $20–$30/hour depending on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our client team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of the office, handle bookkeeping and payroll tasks, and ensure the smooth running of administrative processes. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in QuickBooks, Excel, and certified payroll/prevailing wage knowledge/compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.
- Process payroll, including certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and submit financial reports and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Oversee day-to-day office operations and administrative functions.
- Maintain organized records and ensure proper documentation for audits.
- Utilize Excel to analyze financial data and track project expenses.
- Coordinate with external vendors, clients, and team members to ensure smooth communication and operations.
- Assist with HR-related tasks, including onboarding and employee record maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Office Manager, or similar role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred).
- Knowledge of certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements is essential.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
