Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator with experience in handling tax credit programs. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support, ensure efficient office operations, and manage the processing and tracking of various tax credits for the organization. The position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in administrative tasks, and knowledge of tax credit processes.
Required Responsibilities:
- Manage daily office operations, including answering phones, responding to emails, and handling correspondence.
- Provide support in the application, documentation, and tracking of tax credits such as the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), and others applicable to the organization.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of tax credit documentation for compliance and auditing purposes.
- Liaise with external tax advisors or government agencies to ensure proper filing of tax credit forms and submission of relevant documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of financial reports related to tax credits.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, and other appointments for office staff.
- Perform data entry, filing, and basic bookkeeping duties.
- Assist with payroll and human resources-related tasks, such as onboarding new employees and handling benefits administration.
- Ensure that the office environment is clean, professional, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- Support the finance or accounting department with special projects related to tax credits.
- Stay informed on updates to tax credit regulations and procedures, ensuring the organization remains compliant.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an office administrator or similar role.
- Knowledge and experience with tax credit programs, including application processes, compliance, and reporting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office management software.
- Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles, especially in relation to tax credits.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
