Job Full Description

Job Summary: A Mill-Turn Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining mill-turn CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to manufacture precision parts. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate mill-turn CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
  • Interpret CNC programs, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot machine errors.
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine machining operations.
  • Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments; perform routine machine maintenance.
  • Monitor production processes for efficiency and adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience operating CNC mill-turn machines (e.g., Mazak, Okuma, Haas, or similar brands).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code, M-code) is a plus.

 

2nd shift, 3:30PM-12AM

$25-$30/hour, DOE
