Express has multiple openings for CNC Lathe & Mill Machinists for our clients in the areas of Poway.
Pay Rate: $22.00-30.00/hr (depending on experience and position)
Schedule: M-F, 1st shift and 2nd (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) (start times may vary)
You will need to be meticulous, strive for a safe and clean work environment, have previous CNC machining experience, and be available to work overtime.
Job Highlights:
- Sets up and operates Lathe/Mill machines on trial run to verify the accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
- Selects aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines, such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
- Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks
What We Look for in CNC Machinists:
- Training and Experience: Minimum of 3 years of trade school, vocational education, work experience, and/or apprenticeship.
- Visual Acuity: Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts.
- Working Conditions: The employee may be subject to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, breathing fumes, dust and mist, skin exposure to oils, and cutting fluid.
