Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the inventory and supply of automotive parts, ensuring that all components are readily available for our operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in supplier management, warehouse management, and inventory control, along with a passion for the automotive industry.
Duties
- Manage and oversee the procurement of automotive parts from various suppliers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular audits to ensure stock accuracy.
- Utilize data entry skills to update inventory systems and track parts availability.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and delivery schedules.
- Assist in the organization and management of warehouse operations, including the proper storage of parts.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics as needed to identify necessary parts for repairs.
- Operate forklifts safely to move heavy items within the warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while handling materials and equipment.
Experience
- Proven experience in supplier management and warehouse management is preferred.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and data entry processes.
- Previous experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is advantageous.
- A background in the automotive industry or related fields will be beneficial for success in this role.
