Job Title: Construction Accounting Manager
Salary: Up to $130,000 per year
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction accounting and a strong background in payroll, general contractor software, and bookkeeping. This role involves performing all accounts payable functions, initiating and preparing month-end billings as per contract requirements, and working closely with the company president and Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of construction accounting
- Handle payroll processing
- Perform all accounts payable functions
- Collaborate closely with the company president and Project Managers
- Initiate and prepare month-end billings as per contract requirements
- Manage licenses and insurance
- Oversee bookkeeping tasks
- Assist CPA with preparation of monthly financial statements, aiming to close by the 30th of each month
- Prepare monthly WIP statement with assistance from CPA
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction accounting
- Proficiency in payroll processing
- Experience with general contractor software or related tools
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable functions
- Experience with licenses and insurance
- Solid bookkeeping skills
- Good knowledge of Excel
