Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Sheet Metal HVAC Technician for a temporary assignment in Alameda. The ideal candidate will have experience fabricating, installing, and repairing sheet metal ductwork and HVAC systems in commercial or residential settings. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints, working with hand and power tools, and ensuring projects meet safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders.
- Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and machines.
- Secure ducts and fittings using proper fastening techniques.
- Perform repairs, modifications, and maintenance on existing HVAC systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman-level experience in sheet metal and HVAC installation.
- Proficiency in fabrication, installation, and repair of sheet metal components.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with hand and power tools used in sheet metal work.
- Understanding of HVAC codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
Schedule & Duration:
- Full-time hours (exact schedule TBD).
- Temporary assignment, duration may vary based on project needs.
