Class C Delivery Driver needed for a Tile Supply Company in Santa Rosa, CA
Job Summary:
The Class C Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting tile and related materials to customer locations using a flatbed truck. This role requires a valid Class C driver’s license and involves daily delivery routes, ensuring the safe and timely transport of goods. The position offers varying start times between 5-7 AM and may require overtime hours based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a flatbed truck to deliver tile and other materials to customers at various locations.
- Load and unload materials from the truck, ensuring secure placement and proper handling to prevent damage.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules while maintaining communication with dispatch and customers.
- Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure they are in good working order and report any maintenance needs or issues.
- Verify delivery documents, ensure accurate order counts, and obtain customer signatures for deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during deliveries.
- Assist in warehouse duties, including loading, stocking, and organizing materials when not on delivery routes.
- Work flexible hours, with start times between 5-7 AM and overtime as needed to meet delivery demands.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving flatbed trucks, preferably within the construction or supply industry.
- Ability to safely load and secure materials, including the use of straps, chains, and other securing devices.
- Familiarity with delivery routes and procedures, with strong time management skills.
- Physical ability to load, unload, and move heavy materials (tile and related supplies).
- Flexibility to work varying start times and overtime as required by the job.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented attitude.
Additional Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of local traffic regulations and safety standards.
