JOB DESCRIPTION
Identify and pull correct material identified on manufacturing order, blend mismatches and break edges per drawing and specification requirements using hand and power tools and deliver finished material to other work areas, and complete detailed work order.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• The Deburring operator removes rough edge burrs from a piece of machined metal.
• Positions and secures deburring and cutting tools onto holding fixtures of machine, using hand tools.
• Sets up and controls operation of deburring and tooling machine to perform series of machining operations, such as drilling, chamfering, and deburring. Reads blueprints, job order, and tooling instructions to determine cutting tools and sequence of operations with supervisor/manager approval.
• Adjusts and changes machine tools to ensure deburring meets company specifications.
• Repairs or replaces parts, using hand tools.
• Notifies supervisor/manager personnel when corrective action is required.

 

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
• Must speak, read, and write fluent English.
• Must possess fine motor skills and keen dexterity.
• Must possess strong hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to closely follow both written and verbal directions.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply basic mathematical skills to the work environment (such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions and decimals).

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Ability to take direction from lead and supervisor to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or verbal instructions
• High school level command of spelling, grammar and math, and / or basic vocational skills training (ex. High school diploma, General Education Degree, etc.).
• 2-5 years full-time manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools.
• Must be able to legally work for an ITAR restricted employer.
• Must be able to pass Employee Vision Certification requirements, QSF 172.

 

Standard Hours:
3:30PM - 12:30 AM

 

Work Week:
40 Hours, Mon-Fri
