Entry-Level Roofing & Solar Estimator
About the Position
Our Vacaville client is seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level Estimator to join our growing roofing and solar installation company. This role offers an excellent opportunity to start your career in the renewable energy and construction industry.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys and measurements of residential and commercial properties
- Create detailed cost estimates for roofing and solar installation projects
- Review architectural drawings and construction documents
- Use aerial imaging and estimation software to develop project proposals
- Collaborate with sales team to prepare customer quotes
- Track material and labor costs
- Communicate with customers to gather project requirements
- Maintain accurate project documentation
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- Basic math skills and ability to perform accurate calculations
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights occasionally
- Physical ability to conduct site measurements and inspections
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in construction, roofing, or solar industry
- Knowledge of construction materials and methods
- Experience with estimating software
- Understanding of building codes and safety regulations
