Our client in Sun Valley is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Technician!
Summary
Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems in establishment. In addition, assembles machines, equipment and their subassemblies while maintaining G.M.P guidelines, good documentation practices and applicable laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans, lubricates, realigns, and adjusts machinery parts.
- Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of machines and equipment.
- Tests operation of machines following repair.
- Ensures conformance to specifications.
- Maintains filters for Air Conditioning in all units.
- Maintains and keeps log up-to-date.
- Assists other departments as requested.
- Engages in all size projects including structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, plumbing, electrical, furnishings of buildings and facility construction.
- Assists in monitoring contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
- Suggests when an outside contractor is required and solicits quotes.
- Carries out cleaning duties necessary to maintain clean facility.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
