MIG Welder
Express Employment is currently looking for a MIG Welder for a manufacturing company in [Location].
- Pay: $19.00/hour
- Schedule: 1st shift, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with overtime opportunities
Job Requirements:
- Must have at least 1+ years of MIG welding experience
- Ability to read blueprints and understand weld symbols
- Strong knowledge of fractions, decimals, and fraction conversions
- Proficient in using tape measures, steel rules, and squares
- Ability to learn operations of multiple jigs/fixtures and regularly rotate tasks to meet production goals
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong work ethic and ability to stand for extended periods of time
Responsibilities:
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Use cranes and rigging to move parts and weldments
- Operate cutting machines such as plasma and oxy-fuel cutting torches
- Utilize powered hand tools including grinders, sanders, drills, and saws
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following company policies
- Other duties as assigned by management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified welder
- Experience assisting in training other employees on jigs/fixtures
