Mobile Repair Technician
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the reliability of mobile equipment fleet. The position will be tasked with all manner of maintenance for mobile assets consisting of but not limited to, electric/propane forklifts both sit down and stand up, scissor lifts, articulating boom lifts and telehandlers, golf carts, UTV’s batteries and battery charging stations. This position will require excellent time management and planning skills to effectively increase the overall reliability of the mobile equipment fleet.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote a “safety first” culture within the Maintenance Team and all other departments.
- Responsible for improving the reliability of the internal mobile equipment fleet.
- Completes scheduled work generated from CMMSS and planning staff
- Communicates with affected departments when mobile assets are out of service
- Maintains >95% PM Compliance by completing scheduled maintenance at the proper service hour intervals
- Maintains <5% outsourced labor for maintaining the mobile fleet
- Maintain accurate and up to date maintenance work order records within CMMS
- Strive to achieve high service levels with customer base (production staff)
- Ensure that working area is kept in a professional manner-show pride in work
- Highly professional inter/intradepartmental interactions are required
- Work to remove roadblocks and show direct ownership of mobile maintenance program
- Strive to improve working conditions, working area, and reliability of equipment.
- Track and report on improving KPI (key performance indicators) as assigned by Maintenance Management.
- Participate with internal audits and continuous improvement
- Work to elevate the performance of your coworkers and those directly around you daily.
- Complete all other duties as assigned by management
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Two to four years’ experience as a Maintenance Parts Clerk.
- Experience with Planning Systems such as: CMMS, MRP, SAP.
- Proficient in computer skills to include Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Strong Inventory Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to plan and coordinate across multiple functional groups, align objectives, and keep deliverables on track.
