• Accounts receivable management involves processing and applying customer payments, including checks, ACH, wires, and credit cards. It also includes preparing and posting invoices to customer accounts and reconciling the AR ledger to ensure accuracy.
• Collections and credit control require monitoring outstanding balances and following up with customers on past-due accounts. This includes initiating collection efforts through emails, calls, and statements, negotiating payment plans, and escalating delinquent accounts if necessary. It also involves assessing the creditworthiness of new customers and setting credit limits.
• Customer account reconciliation includes investigating and resolving discrepancies in payments and invoices, processing chargebacks, deductions, and adjustments, and working with internal teams to resolve billing disputes.
• Reporting and compliance involve generating AR aging reports and tracking collection efforts. It also includes maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and payment history, assisting with audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Collaboration and communication require coordinating with sales, finance, and customer service teams regarding customer accounts. It also involves providing excellent customer service while enforcing payment terms.
