Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Phone Bank Representative to join our medical clinic. This individual will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for handling high call volumes, transferring calls, scheduling appointments, and sending telephone encounters/messages to the appropriate staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and field incoming calls for the clinic with professionalism and efficiency.
- Transfer calls to the appropriate departments or personnel.
- Schedule patient appointments according to clinic protocols.
- Document and send telephone encounters/messages to relevant clinic staff.
- Provide general information to patients regarding clinic services, appointment availability, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the scheduling system.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or call center environment preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of calls efficiently.
- Proficiency in using electronic scheduling systems and medical software.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
