Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for an Equipment Manufacturing Buyer to support a leading manufacturing operation in Yuba City. This full-time role involves managing procurement processes to ensure smooth and cost-effective manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong negotiation skills, industry experience, and a proactive approach to sourcing and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential suppliers of equipment and materials.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Manage the purchasing process from order placement to delivery.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to understand equipment needs.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Monitor market trends and changes in supply chain dynamics to mitigate risks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.
- Participate in supplier performance evaluations and implement improvements as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software (M2M is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and market information for informed decision-making.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment is a plus.
