Express Employment is recruiting for a Production Admin – Fabrication to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of the fabrication process by managing documentation, tracking job progress, and coordinating with various departments. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Job Summary:

The Production Admin – Fabrication plays a key role in supporting fabrication operations by managing job documentation, tracking production schedules, and coordinating with teams to ensure smooth workflow. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Documentation & Data Management:

    • Maintain fabrication job-related documents, open/close work orders, and track job status.

    • Accurately record material consumption and ensure documentation compliance.

    • Assist in developing and updating production forms and templates.

  • Production Scheduling & Coordination:

    • Support the Fabrication and Inventory Control Managers in tracking job progress.

    • Monitor production schedules and communicate potential delays.

    • Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Quality Control, and Logistics teams.

  • Reporting & Analysis:

    • Enter and manage production data in M2M and other systems.

    • Generate reports on production efficiency, material usage, and downtime.

    • Provide insights on data trends to support process improvements.

  • Inventory & Material Management:

    • Assist in tracking inventory levels and coordinating material deliveries.

    • Maintain accurate records and help resolve inventory discrepancies.

  • Administrative Support:

    • Manage scheduling, correspondence, and office supplies for the production team.

    • Assist with onboarding new personnel and general administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry systems.

  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems (SAP, Made2Manage, or similar) is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
