Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking reliable and motivated General Laborers to join our production team. In this role, you will assist with assembling metal containers and wood dunnage, performing material handling, and preparing items according to specifications. Additional tasks include fabrication, rigging, shipping/receiving, forklift operation, and general support to ensure a smooth workflow. The ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and has experience with power tools, measurements, and working with some blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with assembly of metal containers and wood dunnage, including material handling and preparation.
- Use power tools, take measurements, and prepare materials according to blueprints.
- Support other Assemblers in tasks such as fabrication, rigging, and equipment handling.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, operate a forklift, and help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, report issues, and document processes including time tracking and job documentation.
Qualifications:
- Ability to safely use power tools and read measurements.
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and fabrication processes is preferred.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus (certification is a bonus).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as needed.
- Compensation: $17 - $19 per hour, based on experience.
