Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Chemical Etch Technician! The Chemical Etch Tech is responsible for performing precision chemical etching on metal and composite materials, ensuring high-quality surface finishes and markings. This role involves preparing materials, monitoring chemical processes, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and clean materials for the chemical etching process.
- Operate and monitor chemical etching tanks, ensuring proper chemical concentrations and process conditions.
- Inspect etched materials for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Adjust process parameters to achieve required etch depth and finish.
- Maintain accurate documentation of process settings, chemical usage, and production output.
- Handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials safely in compliance with regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance on etching equipment and assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, quality control, and production teams to optimize processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
- Experience in chemical etching, chemical processing, or a related manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Understanding of chemical handling and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working with chemicals while wearing appropriate PPE.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
