Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician with an electrical background! The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery, with a focus on electrical systems, to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role requires expertise in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, including motors, control panels, wiring, and PLCs.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components as needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential failures and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure proper operation of machinery by calibrating and adjusting electrical components.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and equipment performance.
  • Follow safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Assist with equipment installation, modifications, and upgrades as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate degree in electrical maintenance, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in machine maintenance, with a strong electrical background.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems, including motors, relays, sensors, control panels, and PLCs.
  • Experience with low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery.
