Salary: $65,000-$75,000+

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer open enrollment for ~150 benefits-eligible employees, including updating HRIS software, coordinating carrier communication, and ensuring accurate employee enrollment
  • Manage and oversee benefits plan development, administration, and eligibility requirements for employees across three states
  • Handle file feeds between the HRIS and benefits carriers, troubleshooting issues and ensuring data accuracy
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits carriers, addressing and resolving any issues that arise
  • Administer employee benefits, processing daily health insurance enrollments due to life-changing events and addressing employee inquiries
  • Research and resolve health insurance billing discrepancies, collaborating with payroll as needed
  • Administer FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Workers' Compensation, and COBRA, maintaining accurate leave records
  • Manage 401(k) administration, including distribution requests, loans, and enrollments, and communicate with employees about plan details
  • Conduct new hire orientation, ensuring benefits enrollment and compliance documentation is complete
  • Maintain and update the HRIS system, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to benefits administration
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, OSHA, and Workers' Compensation
  • Track and update employee training records, safety documentation, and PPE inventory.
  • Prepare and distribute benefit-related communications, such as wellness newsletters and annual notifications for FSA claims and 401(k) enrollments

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in Benefits Administration, with HRIS system management preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • HRIS experience required; experience with Ceridian Dayforce is a plus
  • PHR or SHRM certification preferred
  • Experience in the construction industry required
  • In-depth knowledge of benefits law and experience in file feeds, carrier communication, and benefits plan development/administration
  • Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to communicate effectively with employees during sensitive situations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, confidence, and the ability to manage tasks independently
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
