Job Full Description
Position: Electrician & Solar Installer
A local company is looking for a dedicated team member to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures for PV systems to ensure work complies with electrical and building codes.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & TRAINING LEVEL: Colorado Journeyman-Level
Requirements:
- Previous Experience in solar installation or related field is preferred
- Familiarity with electrical systems and components
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety practices related to solar installations
- Ability to reach and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for solar installations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Duties:
- Forklift operation for moving materials as needed
- Commercial electrician experience for electrical connections
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) for compliance with electrical standards
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- Ability to us power tools such as drills, saws and impact drivers for installation purposes
- Test and troubleshoot solar panel systems to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with tea members to complete installations efficiently and safely
- Adhere to safety protocols and follow industry standards and regulations
Physical Demands and Skill Requirements:
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs. or more) in addition to climbing ladders and working in high places
- Must be willing to travel up to one week at a time
- Work in outdoor conditions
- Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of specific PV equipment
- Visual acuity to drive motor vehicles and mobile equipment and to read printed and electronic documents
- Visual color discrimination
Wage: $21-$30 per hour
Benefits: Accrued sick leave and optional medical benefits provided by Express Employment. Possible full benefits once hired on by company.
Days and Hours: Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm, hours will vary, weekend availability.
Full time/Possible Overtime
