Job Full Description
We are looking for a dedicated team member to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures for PV systems to ensure work complies with electrical and building codes.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & TRAINING LEVEL: Colorado Journeyman-Level
Annual Salary (DOE) $60,000-$100,000 + benefits
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Effectively and succinctly communicate with customers during and after installations
- Effectively and succinctly communicate with Operations Managers and other crew members
- Assemble, install, test and maintain PV-related electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures
- Test PV electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring to ensure compatibility and safety
- Plan layout and installation of PV-related electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
- Connect inverters to the building’s power supply
- Document installation and repairs with photos using a company provided smart phone application
- May also include installation and connection of solar panel array to the main service
Physical Demands and Skill Requirements:
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs. or more) in addition to climbing ladders and working in high places
- Must be willing to travel up to one week at a time
- Work in outdoor conditions
- Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of specific PV equipment
- Visual acuity to drive motor vehicles and mobile equipment and to read printed and electronic documents
- Visual color discrimination
Minimum education and training level: Apprentice-Level or Post-Secondary Credential
