Position: Retail Store Manager
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Store Manager to oversee our third-generation family-owned honey business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining the smooth functioning of the store. This role requires a multi-talented individual who can handle money management, scheduling, facilities maintenance, inventory purchases and human resources with ease, efficiency and consistency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably within the food industry.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with money management and budgeting.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for the family-owned business model and a genuine interest in honey and related products.
- Strong computer skills for POS management
- Ensuring there is an informed manager on site during retail hours, specifically high volume holidays.
Responsibilities include:
- Handle daily retail financial operations including petty cash flow management, sales tracking, and budget planning.
- Prepare sales reports related to inventory and sales, review with management regularly to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Oversee inventory levels and manage purchasing to minimize costs and maximize profits related to historical trends of sales.
- Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during business hours using historical data related to store guest volume.
- Coordinate with the production manager to align stock levels with demand.
- Correspond inventory updates with team members, including them in the process of arrival expectations of products.
- Develop a historical task assignment that the team can reference according to the flow of retail guest visits.
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of the store and surrounding areas including parking areas.
- Coordinate with management for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Report maintenance concerns to management as soon as possible for proper scheduling of repair.
- Implement and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development according to the employee manual.
Wage: $47,000-$52,000 a year
Benefits: Accrued sick leave and optional medical insurance provided by Express Employment. Full benefits after probationary period.
Schedule: Hours of operation are 9am-5pm Sunday-Saturday. Work schedule will vary.
