Job Full Description
The Final Inspector ensures that products meet all required quality standards before being shipped to customers or entering the final stage of production. The role involves conducting thorough inspections, identifying defects or inconsistencies, and ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.
Location: Wallingford, CT
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:45 am to 2:45 pm
Compensation: $17-18+/hr DOE
Duties:
- Visually inspect products for defects applicable to the product or any obvious discrepancies
- Inspect product according to process sheet’s specifications using various measurement devices or gauges.
- Record specific data where required. (Keeping final inspection records with product when complete).
- Label work properly.
- Clean-up work area at the end of shift.
- Return gauges and measuring devices back where they belong.
- Wipe down workstation
- Pick up any product that might have fallen to the ground.
- Label any scrap
- Bring any questions or discrepancies to the supervisor’s attention.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Follow all safety rules, precautions, and procedures.
- Other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Good math skills and understanding of decimals helpful.
- Accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
- The ability through either previous or/on job training to accurately take and record measurements using measurement devices that include but are not limited to:
- Scales
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Microscope
- Toolmakers microscope
- Gages (various types)
- Optical Comparator
