Job Full Description
CNC Programmer
- Full Time, 1st Shift
- Compensation: $72,000 - $85,000/annual
- Not an entry level position
Responsibilities:
- Manage all programming for CNC Milling department
- Planning and Programming for 3, 4, and 5 Axis CNC Machines
- Read engineering prints and understand GD&T
- Develop and program work-holding fixtures and jaws
- Select speeds, feeds, and tolling types for various types of materials
- Read and understand G-code
- Work with department lead to coordinate machine scheduling of parts, schedule production to ensure smooth workflow
- Assist other employees with set-ups and trouble shooting
- Ensure that materials and resources are available in the department.
- Maintain the machine program database
- Monitor fixtures, tools and supplies for the department
- Maintain company and customer quality standards
- Generate continuous improvement ideas for the department
Qualifications/Experience:
- At least 5+ years’ programming experience using Mastercam
- Proficiency with MasterCam to program 3,4, and 5 axis Mills
- Experience in lathe programming a plus
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects
- Strong computer skills
- Experience using ERP system
