Job Full Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivables Clerk to join our manufacturing client in Milford, Ct. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording, tracking, and collection of accounts receivable transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to comply with Connecticut finance regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Receivable Management
    • Process and record customer invoices, payments, and adjustments in accordance with company policies.
    • Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection.
  2. Customer Relations
    • Communicate professionally with customers to address invoice discrepancies, payment arrangements, and account inquiries.
    • Collaborate with the sales and production teams to resolve billing or account disputes.
  3. Financial Reporting
    • Prepare and distribute periodic accounts receivable reports to management.
    • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and audits.
  4. Compliance and Documentation
    • Ensure adherence to Connecticut laws and industry-specific financial regulations.
    • Maintain accurate and organized records to support internal and external audits.
  5. Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to streamline accounts receivable processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Stay updated on best practices and software tools for receivables management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or a related role, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
