Job Full Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, budgeting, and supervising construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Team Management: Lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other professionals.
- Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and ensure alignment with the budget; identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all construction activities comply with building codes, permits, regulations, and safety standards.
- Quality Control: Oversee project milestones and deliverables to maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and vendors, providing regular project updates.
- Problem Solving: Identify potential issues and implement effective solutions to avoid project delays or cost overruns.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, schedules, progress reports, and change orders.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera, or similar).
- Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- OSHA safety certification.
- LEED accreditation or similar credentials.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work on-site at construction locations, including outdoor environments.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Occasional travel may be required based on project location.
