Job Full Description
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Territory Sales Rep for Outside Business Development to drive franchise growth and lead business development efforts. This role will focus on identifying, cultivating, and closing opportunities with potential businesses while building strong external partnerships to expand the client network. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, expertise in outside business development, and a deep understanding of building relationships.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development:
- Develop and execute a robust outside sales and business development strategy to attract and partner with companies.
- Identify ways to penetrate markets and opportunities to expand the franchise clientele.

Account Management:
- Prospect, engage, and build relationships with potential points of contact through networking, in-person visits, and targeted outreach.
- Present services with a consultative approach to prospective local companies, including business benefits, service proposals, and support systems.
- Guide C-level managers or department heads through the new client process, ensuring a seamless experience.

Partnership Development:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with external partners, including brokers, consultants, and industry organizations, and to drive franchise sales growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to generate leads and build brand visibility.

Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the business development team, ensuring alignment with sales goals and company objectives.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, results, and continuous improvement.
- Effectively communicate with the recruitment and operations team on daily efforts.

Market Insights and Analysis:
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry opportunities to refine strategies and optimize results.
- Provide regular reports on key metrics, including lead generation, pipeline progression, and deal closures.

Collaboration and Alignment:
- Partner with recruiting and operations teams to ensure cohesive messaging, lead generation, and onboarding processes.
- Work with General Manager and Partners to evaluate candidate qualifications and ensure compliance with franchise requirements.
Qualifications
- People experience, including leadership skills focused on business development or new business sales.
- Proven success in building relationships, cultivating partnerships, onboarding new clients, or managing business development processes.
- Strong understanding of franchise or startup systems, agreements, and operational models.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales management software.
- Ability to work independently and travel as needed to develop and maintain client relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with C-level managers or business owners.
- Network in the light industrial, office services, professional, logistics, and skilled trades verticals.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships and closing new business partnerships.
