Job Full Description
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to prepare high-quality meals for our members and guests. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a positive and productive kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items in line with the recipes and standards set by the Executive Chef, ensuring quality, presentation, and timeliness.
- Station Management: Maintain responsibility for a specific station in the kitchen, ensuring it is stocked, clean, and efficiently operated throughout service.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure efficient workflow.
- Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, including food handling, storage, and cleanliness to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
- Inventory: Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels, properly storing ingredients, and minimizing waste.
- Menu Input: Provide feedback on menu items and participate in the development of new dishes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Line Cook in a fast-paced kitchen, preferably in a country club, hotel, or upscale dining environment.
- Culinary Skills: Proficiency in various cooking techniques and a strong understanding of kitchen operations.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, maintaining professionalism and composure under pressure.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality, presentation, and consistency in food preparation.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the club's schedule.
- Certification: Food Handler’s certification is preferred.
