Job Full Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be a creative and dynamic leader, dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, menu development, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development: Design and update menus to reflect seasonal ingredients and member preferences, incorporating innovative and appealing dishes.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, staff management, inventory control, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment that upholds high performance standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation, consistently exceeding member expectations.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and manage food costs, labor, and other expenses to meet budgetary goals without compromising quality.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to source the freshest and highest quality ingredients.
  • Event Catering: Collaborate with the events team to create customized menus for special events, banquets, and club functions.
  • Innovation: Stay updated on culinary trends and integrate new techniques and ideas into the club’s offerings to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chef or Executive Chef, preferably in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or country club environment.
  • Culinary Expertise: Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, menu planning, and kitchen operations, with a proven track record of creative and high-quality cuisine.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with staff, members, and vendors.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Certification: Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred; Food Safety and Sanitation certification required.
