Job Description:
We are seeking a Contract Controller with expertise in Sage 300 to oversee financial operations, optimize cash flow, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can manage financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and process improvements while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee cash flow management, closely monitoring income and expenses.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial data.
  • Work with IT partners to ensure secure and efficient technology operations.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivables, ensuring timely invoice and payment processing.
  • Streamline office operations, implementing process improvements for efficiency.
  • Supervise weekly payroll processing for 290+ employees.
  • Collaborate with external auditors for compliance with insurance and corporate audits.
  • Oversee Workers’ Compensation claims in partnership with Payroll and HR.
  • Monitor and prepare reports for employee benefits, including Pension and Profit-Sharing plans.
  • Prepare accurate month-end closing entries and quarterly financial reviews with corporate CPA.
  • Track inventory and maintain accurate asset records.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts to achieve cost savings.
  • Implement financial policies, budget controls, and quality control measures for data accuracy.
  • Leverage advanced software tools to automate processes and improve productivity.
  • Hire, train, and develop staff, conducting performance reviews and salary administration.
  • Maintain administrative-level permissions for Sage 300 operations and upgrades.
  • Support 20+ management personnel with financial, payroll, and HR matters.
  • Collaborate with the District Supervisor to resolve vendor, subcontractor, and operational issues.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Controller or Senior Accountant in a similar role.
  • Sage 300 experience required (Administrative level preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, payroll processing, and compliance.
  • Experience managing multi-location operations is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities.
