Job Summary:
As a CDL A/B Driver and Septic System Installer, you will play a crucial role in our operations by transporting equipment and materials to job sites and assisting with the installation of septic systems. This position is ideal for someone who isn’t afraid to work hard, get their hands dirty, and ensure the job is done right.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving Duties:
- Safely operate company vehicles (Class A or B) to transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
- Safely load and unload materials, including heavy equipment, pipes, and aggregates.
Septic System Installation Duties:
- Assist with digging, grading, and site preparation for septic system installations.
- Install septic tanks, pipes, drain fields, and other system components according to specifications and regulations.
- Operate machinery such as excavators, backhoes, or trenchers (if qualified).
- Work with the team to troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges.
- Perform cleanup and restoration of the job site after installation is complete.
General Duties:
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times, including the use of PPE and proper equipment handling.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and working order.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure projects meet expectations.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL A or B license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in the construction or septic industry.
- Experience with septic system installation or general construction is highly preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (excavators, backhoes, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 75 lbs and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of basic tools and construction practices.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to read and follow site plans, blueprints, or installation instructions.
