Job Title: Certified Diesel Mechanic
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and certified Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience working on civilian diesel vehicles and must provide their own tools. If you are passionate about diagnostics, repairs, and ensuring vehicles operate at peak performance, this is the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems, including electrical, cooling, fuel, and exhaust systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with brakes, transmissions, and suspension systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and address mechanical problems.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, services, and parts used.
- Adhere to safety standards and ensure all repairs meet quality control guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members about repair status and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Diesel Mechanic or related field (ASE certification preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working on civilian diesel vehicles.
- Must provide and maintain your own set of tools.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and modern diesel technology.
- Experience working on light and medium-duty diesel trucks.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
