Position Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk who can keep up with our fast-paced manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will be receiving incoming material & packaging and shipping of product in accordance with customer and military specifications.
Responsibilities:
A qualified applicant will be required to support operations in the quality department, additional support may be required in the storeroom area as necessary. The duties will focus in the areas involving data entry, inventory, printing labels, unloading incoming products, packaging products for shipment, and organizing/storing/preparing orders as required.
Job functions may include, but are not limited to:
Using an ERP system, label generators, and shipping software
Using clerical skills, such as typing and navigating a computer
Coordinating with multiple freight companies
Working closely with the internal departments to expedite orders as necessary
Maintaining an organized and clean workspace
Cross-checking items against physical and/or digital documents
Checking items for quality and quantity issues
Maintaining item traceability
Monitoring outbound and incoming material and orders
Making crates and packaging material
Unloading raw material crates for receipt
Using a forklift, crane, saw and other industrial machinery as necessary
Education:
• High School Diploma (Preferred)
Experience:
• 1-3 years of manufacturing sector experience (Preferred)
Required Skills:
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient at understanding work orders, packing slips, and certifications
• Able to use industrial machinery (saw, forklift, crane, hand tools)
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, ERP knowledge, Data entry)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well alone and as part of a team
