            Job Summary: As a Fence Installer, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of fences, including wood, vinyl, chain-link, and ornamental fences. You will work directly with customers to ensure their fencing needs are met with high quality and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fencing techniques, good physical stamina, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fence Installation: Measure, cut, and install fence panels, posts, and gates according to specifications and local codes. Ensure all installations are level, secure, and aesthetically pleasing.
 
- Material Handling: Load and transport fencing materials to job sites. Organize and prepare materials for installation.
 
- Site Preparation: Prepare installation sites by clearing debris, marking post locations, and digging holes. Ensure proper alignment and spacing for fence components.
 
- Repairs and Maintenance: Identify and repair damaged fences. Perform maintenance tasks such as replacing broken parts and addressing issues with fence functionality.
 
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to understand their needs, provide estimates, and address any questions or concerns. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.
 
- Tool and Equipment Usage: Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as post drivers, saws, and concrete mixers. Ensure all tools are in good working condition.
 
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Wear appropriate safety gear and adhere to all safety protocols.
 
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project. Provide detailed reports to supervisors or customers as required.
 
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in fence installation or a related field is preferred. On-the-job training may be provided for candidates with strong mechanical skills and a willingness to learn.
 
- Skills: Proficiency with hand and power tools, strong problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and installation plans.
 
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks such as digging and bending.
 
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
 
- License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. (Optional: A commercial driver’s license if required for vehicle operation.)
 
Work Environment:
- Work is typically performed outdoors at various job sites.
 
- May involve exposure to different weather conditions and physical demands.
