Job Full Description
Position Overview: As a Reach Truck Operator you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating reach trucks to move, stack, and retrieve materials within our warehouse. Your primary goal will be to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of orders while adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate reach trucks to transport materials and products to designated locations within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, pallets, and containers using reach truck equipment, ensuring proper stacking and organization of materials.
- Retrieve and stage materials for shipment, picking orders according to specifications provided by the warehouse management system.
- Conduct regular inspections of reach truck equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting movement of materials and products using warehouse management software.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established protocols for operating reach trucks.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in training sessions and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance reach truck operation skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Reach Truck Operator in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Valid reach truck certification or license.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management and order picking processes.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
