Job Full Description

Hiring an Electronics Technician for its Lakeland, FL manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for the electronic and computer components of all plant production equipment.

Seeking individuals who are dedicated to achieving production goals while maintaining operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery to ensure optimal production levels for internal and external customers. This position also requires operating in a normal maintenance and manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature changes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise the Maintenance Manager on electrical/mechanical issues and provide solutions.
  • Build, maintain, and repair all electronic systems.
  • Retrofit machine control systems, read, modify, and create electrical schematics for machinery.
  • Install, repair, and retrofit motor controllers, including all types of motor AC and DC drives and systems.
  • Quickly troubleshoot problems and identify viable solutions.
  • Recognize problems before they occur through a preventative maintenance program.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and design of electrical circuits.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and install PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) systems and associated circuits.

Skills and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED, with 2+ years of specialty or technical training preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in the electronics field, with 2+ years in an industrial environment, and advanced knowledge of electrical and electronics interfacing.
  • Experience with PLC systems, with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers, including AC and DC drives.
  • Proficiency in maintaining machine control systems and software.
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to adapt to changing work environments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to earn a Carpenter Co. Forklift Certification.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
