Job Title: Production Worker – Steel Galvanizing

Position Overview:
We are seeking highly motivated, physically capable individuals to join our production team at our steel galvanizing facility. As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for handling and processing steel components through our galvanizing process. This role requires a high level of physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment. The ideal candidate will be able to lift heavy materials, work with overhead cranes, and perform various tasks to ensure steel products are galvanized to specification.
Key Responsibilities:

Lifting and Handling Steel Components: Manually lift, position, and move steel parts of varying sizes and weights, ensuring that they are properly positioned for galvanizing.

Overhead Crane Operation: Use overhead cranes and hoists to hang and position steel components for processing, ensuring safe and precise handling.

Galvanizing Process: Assist in the galvanizing process by preparing, inspecting, and moving parts through various stages, including cleaning, dipping, and drying of steel products.

Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect steel components for defects, ensuring they meet production standards and specifications.

Safety Compliance: Follow strict safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to workplace safety guidelines. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Physical Labor: Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient production flow.

Shift Work: Work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends as required, with a commitment to reliable attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications:

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding work in a hot, industrial environment. Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy steel components (up to [XX] lbs) throughout the shift.

Previous Experience (Preferred): Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial setting is preferred, especially in steel fabrication, galvanizing, or heavy equipment operation.

Crane Operation (Preferred): Experience operating overhead cranes or hoists is a plus, though training will be provided.

Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work in compliance with safety regulations. Previous training in industrial safety (OSHA, etc.) is advantageous.

Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with strong communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and supervisors.

Reliability and Attendance: Must have reliable transportation and a strong work ethic, with a focus on punctuality and dependability.
Working Conditions:

Physical Demands: The role requires frequent lifting, bending, and overhead reaching. You will be standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift.

Environment: Work is performed in a hot, noisy, and sometimes dusty environment. Proper PPE such as steel-toe boots, gloves, eye protection, and ear protection will be provided and must be worn at all times.

Shift Schedule: You will be required to work 12-hour shifts, with rotating days and nights. Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as necessary is required.
