Tell us how you would describe yourself:

Cody:
As a person, I would describe myself as the type of guy that can mix it up with any crowd and bring some fun to the situation. It might not be apparent at the first encounter, but I am a social and engaging person that loves making new friends and professional connections. I tend to be someone that likes to take charge in any given situation and drive towards that best possible outcome. I am a well-organized and well-rounded individual that is not great at any one thing but good at many. I am passionate about my family, friends, and profession. I think outside of the box and operate extremely well under pressure.

Sarah: I describe myself as caring, compassionate, empathetic and pretty easy going. I am very passionate about my family and those that are close to me. I enjoy taking on new challenges to improve myself both personally and professionally and I'm always up for a fun adventure! I enjoy traveling with my husband and spending time with my mom and sisters. I love to see the good in people, and always find a silver lining in every situation I encounter.

Are you both natives to the Lakeland area?

Cody:  No, I moved around the country as a child and continued to do that in the military. On my last assignment in the Marines, I was stationed at the University of Illinois. I was responsible for recruiting college students into the Marine Officer Program. After my tour of duty, I took a role with Express Employment, which led to my partnership opportunity in Lakeland. We moved our family here in January of 2021 to open this office.

Sarah:  I was a native to the East Central Illinois region. After college, I got into the banking industry and was recruited into Express by the local franchisee. The move to Lakeland was the biggest and farthest move I have ever done. Still, when we were presented with the opportunity to partner, we did not hesitate to pack up, sell our home, and move our family to Florida to take on this exciting adventure.

What are you passionate about or enjoy doing when you're not at work?

Cody:
I am an avid outdoorsman that loves camping, hiking, biking, and being in and around the water regardless of the location. It gives me a sense of freedom. I love to travel to new and unfamiliar places and keeping my life filled with adventure.

Sarah:  I truly love spending time with my family; sitting around a fire and enjoying some wine with my sisters is my favorite thing. I can be delighted relaxing at home with no plans and watching my beautiful daughter grow up in front of my eyes, but I also enjoy exploring the beaches and natural side of my new home. I am passionate about quality time that creates memories.

What is something unique about you?

Cody:
 I'm a USMC-trained Scout Sniper.

Sarah:  I'm an Identical twin and a Collegiate Track athlete.

What would you like to share about your family? Pets? Kids?

Sarah:
We have two kids, Owen John Alterman (9) and Kameron Jane Alterman (6).

Cody:  We also have one and a half pets, "Moto," a Bearded Dragon Lizard that our son "had to have" and "Pat the Cat" a rescue cat that we gave to Sarah's parents to take care of after we moved to Lakeland.

How would others best describe you?

Cody:
A guy who carries himself well, is down to earth, and can relate to just about anyone. He is the type that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. But, he throws caution to the wind and is not afraid to leap before looking.

Sarah:  A kind soul that wants nothing more for everyone around her to feel loved and appreciated. She uses words of affirmation to express her feelings towards others, and she is one of the most fun people to be around.

What are your best skillsets?

Cody:
  "Public Speaking and High-Level Recruiting."

Sarah:  "Operational Management and Employee Development."

Do you have a favorite quote?

Cody:
"To every man there comes in his lifetime that special moment when he is figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered a chance to do a very special thing, unique to him and fitted to his talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds him unprepared or unqualified for that which would be his finest hour." - Winston Churchill

Sarah: "Sometimes you don't realize your strength until you come face to face with your greatest weakness." –Susan Gale.
