Location: Ocala, FL
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Dress Attire: Business casual for the first 90 days, then scrubs provided with an allowance to purchase 4 sets.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Phone Intake Coordinator to join a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment. This role involves managing a high volume of patient calls, answering inquiries, scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments. As the first point of contact for patients, you will provide excellent customer service, ensuring their needs are met and appointments are scheduled efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Answer approximately 1,000 phone calls daily, assisting patients with scheduling and follow-ups.
- Handle appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
- Assist patients with general inquiries and testing scheduling.
- Help calm frustrated or upset patients by providing exceptional service.
- Maintain organized and detailed records.
- Use the AthenaOne EMR system (training provided).
- Multitask and work effectively under pressure.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Friendly, bubbly personality with a professional demeanor.
- Strong ability to multitask and manage a heavy call volume.
- Dependable, with a can-do attitude.
- Great typing skills while conversing with patients on the phone.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with grace.
