Job Order: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Pay: $23-28/hr
Schedule: 2nd Shift – 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Train on 1st shift the first week or two)
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance duties as assigned, ensuring optimal performance of equipment and machinery. This position requires proficiency in mechanical, electrical, welding, and cutting systems and will provide support for higher-skilled technicians.
Essential Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing machinery, including mechanical and electrical components
- Observe all safety rules and company regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Read and interpret common measuring devices and technical diagrams
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with supervisors and team members
- Assist higher-skilled technicians with repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks
- Maintain knowledge of and operate electrical, welding, and cutting equipment
- Use various gauges, blueprints, and measuring equipment to troubleshoot and repair machinery
- Must obtain Forklift Operator license and be trained in man lift operation
- Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, welding, and electrical tasks
- Assist with the operation of boilers, including starting and shutting them down without assistance from upper-level technicians
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Report unsafe work conditions and respond to spills or leaks as directed
- Willingness to work extra hours, weekends, and call-ins as needed
- Provide personal hand tools and small power tools to complete assigned tasks
- Exhibit good attendance and punctuality
Additional Responsibilities:
- Will be trained and expected to gain competency in man lift and forklift operation
- Support other maintenance tasks, including the repair and installation of equipment
- Perform general maintenance duties as assigned, such as welding, carpentry, and electrical tasks
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous industrial maintenance experience or demonstrated ability in mechanical and electrical systems
- Knowledge of common machine shop equipment, such as lathes, drills, boring tools, and blade sharpening
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Must pass required training and certifications for specialized tasks
- Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
