Job Full Description
Job Summary: The Stamping Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining stamping press machinery to emboss or imprint designs, lettering, numbers, or other information onto various materials such as metal, plastic, paper, cloth, or leather. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow specific instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adjust heat, pressure, and time controls according to the material to be stamped.
- Install and lock character wheels, embossing dies, or stamping dies in the machine.
- Insert and thread specified material (e.g., foil, gold-leaf, coated ribbon, or plastic tape) through rollers that guide it under the die.
- Inspect the markings for appearance, alignment, and quality, making necessary adjustments.
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs on the equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Maintain an inventory of various foils and materials needed for production.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to understand and operate complex machinery.
- Ensuring precision in the stamping process.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments to the machinery.
- Capability to stand for long periods and handle materials.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Work Environment:
