Job Title: Spirits Bottling Line Mechanic
Location: Hudson
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Spirits Bottling Line Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing bottling line machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and effective production of spirits. The mechanic will play a critical role in ensuring our production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on bottling line machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems on the bottling line.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
- Collaborate with production and quality control teams to ensure seamless operation and minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Train and mentor junior mechanics and production staff on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance bottling line efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the spirits or beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Welding, electrical, lathe, and mill experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
