Job Full Description
Tire Dismantler:
Responsible for safely and efficiently removing usable components from old or damaged tires, including the tire carcass, steel belts, and rubber, to prepare them for recycling or further processing, often using specialized machinery to separate the different materials and ensuring proper sorting for proper disposal or reuse.

Key responsibilities of a tire dismantler may include:
• Tire inspection: Assessing the condition of tires to determine if they can be dismantled and which parts are reusable.
• Tire removal: Detaching tires from rims using appropriate equipment.
• Disassembly: Cutting and separating the tire carcass, steel belts, and tread rubber using specialized machinery.
• Sorting: Categorizing the different tire components based on material type and quality for proper recycling or resale.
• Cleaning: Removing debris and foreign materials from the separated tire components.
• Material handling: Loading and unloading tires and separated components onto conveyors or storage areas.
• Equipment operation: Operating tire dismantling machines, including ensuring proper maintenance and safety procedures.
• Quality control: Inspecting dismantled components to meet quality standards for recycling or further processing.
• Safety compliance: Adhering to all safety regulations regarding tire dismantling, including proper personal protective equipment usage.
Required skills and abilities:
• Mechanical aptitude: Understanding the construction of tires and how to disassemble them using specialized tools.
• Physical strength: Ability to lift and maneuver heavy tires and components.
• Attention to detail: Accurately identifying and sorting different tire materials.
• Safety awareness: Following safety procedures when handling sharp objects and heavy machinery.
