We are seeking an experienced, safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to support industrial and construction-related operations in the Pensacola area. This position operates a variety of heavy equipment to perform site preparation, excavation, grading, material handling, demolition support, and general labor duties as assigned.

Safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, skid steers, backhoes, forklifts, compactors, and other assigned machinery.

Perform excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling, loading, hauling, and material-moving activities.

Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections; report maintenance needs, damage, or unsafe conditions promptly.

Read and follow work orders, site plans, supervisor direction, safety procedures, and project specifications.

Assist with setting up work areas, traffic control, equipment staging, housekeeping, and general labor tasks when equipment operation is not required.

Work safely around active construction areas, utilities, structures, vehicles, and other personnel.

Communicate effectively with spotters, supervisors, and crew members.

Follow OSHA requirements and all site-specific safety rules.

Maintain a clean and professional work area, equipment cab, and job-site appearance.

Perform other duties as assigned to support project needs.

Previous experience operating heavy construction or industrial equipment required.

Ability to operate multiple types of equipment safely and efficiently.

Knowledge of daily equipment inspections, basic maintenance checks, and safe operating procedures.

Ability to work outdoors in varying Florida weather conditions.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb on and off equipment, stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor as needed.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

OSHA 10, NCCER, forklift certification, CDL, or relevant equipment certifications are preferred.
