Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Dress code: long pants, t-shirt, nothing offensive, no holes, rips, or tears
Primary Responsibilities
· Accountable for production, safety, and quality.
· Communicates daily activities of shift staff and issues work assignments accordingly
· Coordinates production startups, shutdowns, turnarounds, and changeovers. Maintains good working knowledge of policies, rules, and procedures applicable to area of responsibility and ensures all applicable requirements are adhered to.
· Ensures employees are provided required training for area and tasks prior to assigning work.
· Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in clean, orderly, and safe manner.
· Makes decisions for the necessary adjustments to equipment in order to optimize plant efficiency
· Maintains min/max material requirements for production process.
· Completes regular checks of staff and equipment throughout the shift to ensure that standard operating procedures are followed and that company standards are met.
· Reports all manufacturing equipment issues to management and/or maintenance staff.
· Accountable for ensuring recordkeeping requirements are met.
· Promptly reports unsafe working conditions to management and communicates potential hazards to affected employees.
· Promptly reports all incidents to management and conducts incident investigation as soon as practicable (no later than 24 hours from time of incident).
Additional Responsibilities
· Serves as the liaison between senior management and production staff.
· Completes tasks as assigned by the Production Manager and/or Plant Manager.

Basic qualifications:
· No degree or professional certification: 4 years of production/processing experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
· Technical degree or professional certification: 1 year of production/processing experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and machinery, basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
· Knowledge of manufacturing regulatory and safety requirements (e.g. OSHA).
· Extended periods of walking and standing; and move manufacturing materials, products and equipment of 50 pounds (assisted) or more, which requires bending and lifting.
· Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software (e.g., Excel and Word).
· General knowledge of Process Safety Management.
Working Conditions
· Currently an 8–10-hour single shift operation. As the company grows, must be able to work alternate shifts as required.
· Regular exposure to a variety of temperatures and prevailing weather conditions; regular exposure dust and odors; occasional exposure to high volume of noise.
· Personal Protective Equipment will be worn in compliance with company standards and government regulations.
· Call-ins or the extension of regular working hours are occasionally necessary to complete time-sensitive projects, attend training or to respond to emergencies.
Employee Supervision
· Coordinates, monitors, and assumes responsibility of the work of approximately 6 or more production employees in the industrial processing areas. Has the authority to recommend hiring, dismissal, and discipline of employees as well as supervise, manage, and direct work
