Shipping:
· When a truck arrives for a pickup (independent driver, or sign company) get paperwork
· Crates/Signs will always have WO# associated with job, QC sheet that has all items listed that are to be picked up, or BOL showing size/number of crates.
· Confirm the product or crate is marked with same WO# that is on the paperwork you have. If you cannot make out the WO#, written see Curtis to confirm.
· Locate all pieces for each job.
Channel Position
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating metal components and assemblies according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role requires proficiency in various fabrication techniques and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. The Fabricator will work closely with other team members to deliver exceptional products while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
Responsibilities
· Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
· Utilize various power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
· Perform welding tasks using mig welding techniques.
· Fabricate sheet metal structures while adhering to relevant codes and standards.
· Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good condition.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills:
· Proficiency in plasma cutting, blueprint reading, and operating cranes.
· Experience with mig and other welding techniques is preferred.
· Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
The Channel Letter Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication and assembly of custom fabricated signs and sign components. You must be proficient in mig welding techniques along with the use of other metal working and fabrication equipment.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· MIG WELDING of aluminum.
· Using a variety of fabricating machines and power tools such as brakes, rolls, shears, and drill presses to bend and shape materials that conform to the dimensions called out in drawings, Job tickets, or other specifications.
· Moving and lifting awkward metal sheets (must be able to lift to 50 lbs.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Formal technical welding training or a minimum of two (2) years of welding and fabrication experience using MIG and TIG welders with aluminum.
· Understanding of measurements, mathematical terms, and the conversion of fractional measurements to decimal measurements.
· The ability to cut materials accurately the first time and every time.
· Knowledge of sign fabrication, installation, and mechanical processes a plus.
· Experience in fabrication of channel letters a plus.
